Koijee To Testify Wednesday-As Chambers Justice Overturns Judge Willie’s Ruling
Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson Tamba Koijee is expected to testify in the ongoing murder case involving former Chief Justice Gloria Musu-Scott and three other family members.
The decision was reached Monday, December 11, 2023 when Supreme Court Justice In-Chambers at the Supreme Court of Liberia— Associate Justice Jamesetta Howard-Wolokollie overturned criminal court A Judge Roosevelt Z. Willie’s refusal to subpoenas Koijee based on legal reliance.
Judge Willie’s refusal prompted defense lawyers to seek an appeal before the Chambers Justice for review of the lower court’s decision.
Meanwhile, following hearings with both parties, Associate Justice Jamesetta Howard-Wolokollie mandated Judge Willie to grant defense lawyers request to subpoenas Koijee and others to testify in the case.
In line with his appearance Wednesday, Koijee is expected to testify to numbers that he (Koijee) reportedly used to call one Mohammed Keita which is believed that he (Keita) was on the crime scene the night of the gruesome murder of Charlou Musu on February 22, 2023.
In her petition through her lawyers, the former Chief Justice wants Koijee to testify and a subpoena duces tecum to be issued for the mobile numbers (0776)-407-969 and (0886)-407-969 reportedly owned by Mayor Jefferson Tamba Koijee and (0770)-430-291 believed to be owned by one Mohammed Keita.
