Joe Boakai Warns Against Re-electing Pres. Weah
Former Vice President Joseph Boakai who doubles as the Presidential candidate of the former ruling Unity Party, is calling on Liberians not to give President George Weah and his administration a second term.
He said providing a second term will amount to giving the regime a matching order to further destroy the country and its citizens.
Speaking during a campaign tour in Montserrado County District 14, on Sunday, Boakai said his administration is coming to address the constraints facing the nation and its people.
He said if elected, his administration will provide a new Liberia where there will be a surplus of jobs for Liberians as well as institute measures to address constraints facing the economy.
“We want to bring a country that is caring, a country in which all citizens are regarded as important,” he said.
Also speaking, Montserrado County Senator Abraham Darius Dillon, called on citizens to get ready for a resounding first round victory during the October 10 election.
He said the Rescue Mission will launch its campaign rally in Monrovia on September 17, calling on voters to turnout in their numbers to send a clear message to the ruling establishment.
Weah is being challenged by 19 other candidates for the nation’s highest office. But as it stands, it seems that the Presidential Election is a two horse race with former Vice President Joseph Nyumah Boakai being the main challenger to the incumbent Weah.
