Burundi: the African Development Bank grants over USD 13 million to tackle climate change impacts through water security

ABIDJAN, Ivory Coast, October 20, 2023/ — The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group (www.AfDB.org) granted funding of USD 13.15 million to Burundi on 5 October 2023, to help the country implement Phase 1 of the Water Sector and Climate Resilience Building Support Programme. The funding comes from the Transition Support Facility (https://apo-opa.info/3CSPRhx), one of the Bank’s funding mechanisms aimed at building stability in countries in transition.
