VOL’s News Director Receives Certificate of Honor

Voice of Liberia News Director, Mafilla Kamara has received a certificate of Honor from the Second Chance Foundation for better Future for her outstanding role play in rendering services to her country and humanity through the Media as well as for being the paragon and the source of inspiration to the generation of young people in the media.

This comes in the wake of Mafilla’s Commitment to upholding the ethical standards of Journalism and reporting factual and balanced information to the public.

Madame Kamara who doubles as the team leader of the Mafilla Kamara Educational Initiative extended her appreciation to leaders and members of the second chance Foundation for better future for bestowing such a prestigious honor on her thus promising to do more in unearthing prevailing issues in her country.

During the event, about 10 Journalists and media practitioners from Liberia including members of the Legislative Press Pool—LISGISPOOL were certificated. The Honorees also vowed to serve as Mentors for the aspiring Journalists from the Great Commission Academy and Orphans to ensure that they become vibrant Journalists in society.

The SECOND CHANCE FOUNDATION FOR BETTER FUTURE is a legally registered, non-profit organization and HUMANITARIAN institution founded in January, 2020 to rejuvenate consciousness and hope among the young people; and also seek the welfare of the underprivileged populace through: Education, Advocacy, Recreation, Development and other Humanitarian Aid.
